Making Waves: Adult Summer Reading 2025
Adult Summer Reading Begins!
May 27 - September 2, 2025
Come on in - the water is just fine! Log and review books you're reading this summer on our ReadSquared page. Each review that you submit will earn you a chance at winning one or more of our amazing raffle baskets.
Our user-friendly platform not only provides an easy way to record what you've read, but it also gives you the option to create a list of books you wish to read, earn fun badges, keep track of your progress in our Shelf Discovery Reading Challenge, and access our Librarian-made reading lists!
Don't wait too long to get started - we will be picking a Mid-Summer Raffle Winner at the half-way point of the summer!
Participants will be invited to join us at our Summer Reading Wrap-Up Party in September, where we will announce raffle winners and discuss the summer's most popular books.

Do Not Disturb
by Freida McFadden

I love all books by this author. I can never guess the twists and turns it takes even though I have read so many she has written. This one in particular stood out to me because it shows you can’t always believe what you see or what you think you know because there is always more to people than they show. It kept me at the edge of my seat and I couldn’t put it down!

good book
Maktub
by Paulo Coelho

This book is a collection of saying and very short tales that are meant to inspire and enhance a spiritual if not religious outlook. I was unimpressed. If you try, it’s not hard to find meaning in many events, and I think this author tried too hard and often ventured from spiritualism, that I would have been OK with, into religion, that I was not.

I found the storyline was hard to follow.
